Evolution is both a fact and a theory. It is a fact because multiple facets of science confirm that evolution does take place. It is a theory because scientists are discussing HOW evolution takes place; does it take place through natural selection and/or some other process?
This is no different than gravity. Gravity is a fact, as multiple facets of science confirm that it takes place. The theory of gravity involves HOW it works. Einstein's relativity work enlightened us but others today discuss other mechanisms that may be involved with the process.
"Creationism" and/or "intelligent design" are not scientifically supported, thus, should not be included in the scientific discussion of evolution. To think otherwise would lead one to conclude that astrology should be included with the discussion of astronomy, alchemy should be included with the discussion of chemistry, the "stork theory" should be included in the study of the birth process, etc.
Individuals who do not support evolution are not skeptics, they are "deniers".
