Are we entering a Golden Age of Atheism?
Author David Mills argues that there are ten reasons why we are approaching a "Golden Age of Atheism":
1. Technology has removed philosophical isolation.
2. Explosion in the number of atheist books.
3. Science has eliminated our "God of the Gaps".
4. Failure of Creation Science/Intelligent Design.
5. Even believers are abandoning the Bible.
6. Disgust with god-driven politics.
7. Less tolerant of discrimination.
8. Perfect parallel between Islamic and Christian Fundamentalism.
9. More people are seeking higher education.
10. Scholars beginning to recognize that Jesus Christ never existed.
