Is it really "science-based" to describe those with whom you disagree as woo-meisters and denialists? I'm sorry, but I don't find childish name-calling to be very persuasive.
I don't claim to be an expert on medicine, but I have had many unfortunate experiences with prescription medications and with surgery. As a result, I have very little trust in practitioners of "medical science" (which sounds to me like the ultimate oxymoron, because medications tend to struggle against our bodies' evolved defenses).

"Woo-meister" = individual promoting unscientific/pseudoscientific practices.
ReplyDelete"Denialist" = individual rejecting evidence-based claims in support of unscientific opinion/practices.
Seems like a good description of Mr. Maher, and many others in celebrity-land and elsewhere.
