This video summarizes the conflict between evolutionary biology and the Adam & Eve story. After watching this video, do you think Christian theology needs Adam & Eve? Have your fundamental views of Christianity been changed?
For Christianity to maintain its so-called "relevance" they must maintain the validity of the Adam and Eve tale, as it is through of the Adam and Eve story that Christians believe they are "born sinners" requiring redemption through Jesus Christ. Without the so-called "sin" of Adam and Eve, there is no need for redemption either. Theologians have made note of this, and you can find reference to it in "Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions" by TW Doane.
