True Religion Begats Violence?

Hector Avalos has written an article supporting the idea that monotheism inherently begats violence.  This article reminded this blogger that those who are TRULY following the teachings of their religion are most likely to be violent in the name of their faith.  The "moderate" theists are just culling out what they know is violent and evil in the teachings of their religion.  Think about it.
