More On Patient-Centered Care

This blogger has previously posted on Patient-Centered Care.  David Gorski has posted on the Science Based Medicine blog regarding the subject in general, and the New England Journal of Medicine's involvement in such in particular. 

While the term seems positive, Patient-Centered Care has become a euphemism for unscientific/placebo medicine within the Alternative Medicine community.  To quote the last sentence of the post:

It’s not possible to have real patient-centered care without real informed consent, and “integrative medicine” relies on misinformed consent.
