Science and Religion

Science does not address the supernatural, thus, it cannot draw any conclusions regarding this concept. However, religion makes claims on the effects of the supernatural on human experience, which places such claims in the realm of the natural. Thus, they can be studied like any other claim that effects us.

If there is a supernatural and it does not effect us, why should we be concerned about it?

"The Language of God" by Francis Collins is a well-known attempt to harmonize the findings of scientific research with Christian belief. However, George C. Cunningham's rebuttal called "Decoding the Language of God: Can a Scientist Really Be a Believer?" concludes that there is no scientifically acceptable evidence to support belief in a personal God and much that discredits it.

"Non-Overlapping Magisterium"? I don't think so.
