Outside of a cafe this weekend, this blogger had the opportunity to pick up a local advertisement booklet entitled Natural Awakenings. From the cover, I knew what was coming: "New Age", alternative medicine and pseudoscience. As expected, the ads virtually covered the full spectrum of such nonsense. Of particular interest to this blogger was one ad comparing "real" medicine to "alternative" medicine in a rather dyslexic/bass ackwards manner. It was so outrageous that, in another context of not trying to sell quackery to the public, it would be humorous. No laughs from this blogger.
